The Rock Climbing Instructor scheme is aimed at those who wish to be in a position of responsibility during single pitch climbing activities. This training course is aimed at those who have fulfilled all the Rock Climbing Instructor training pre-requisites and hope to move forward to the Rock Climbing Instructor Assessment.
Candidates should be currently active in rock climbing outdoors leading routes up to severe standard.
As you can see from the programme we will spend full days at crags potentially in a range of weather conditions so bring your waterproofs, thermals and boots for the walk in.
Whilst packed lunches and meals are provided as part of the course we do not supply flasks or water bottles.
Although Tollymore stores has a full range of all necessary climbing equipment students are also encouraged to bring their personal climbing equipment.
↓ What does my course fee include?
The course fee includes kit, equipment, in course transport, coaching, food and accommodation.
Course accommodation will be in shared twin ensuite rooms. If you would prefer not to share a room, single occupancy may be available for an additional charge.

As you are probably aware the current advice from the Northern Ireland Executive, Health Promotion Agency NI and Health & Safety Executive NI, as well as our expert group within Sport NI is that we cannot deliver any face to face courses for our customers including use of the Hot Rock Climbing Wall.
We know that you and many others like minded folk are very keen to get back on track with your plans to attend and complete a range of personal skills training and qualifications in a range of disciplines.
