We can deliver a one day Leave No Trace Awareness Course on request (this is the pre-requisite for the Trainer’s Course). This Awareness Course costs £45 and includes certification.
The Centre also runs Leave No Trace Trainer's Course over a weekend. The Leave No Trace organisation uses trainer status as a prequisite for the delivery of Awareness Courses. On attending a weekend course you are then put on a central registry of Leave No Trace providers.
↓ Course summary
The Leave No Trace Trainer's Course will focus on the delivery of the seven principles of Leave No Trace and techniques for teaching. Participants will be asked to come prepared to do a short outdoors teaching session on one of these principles incorporated into a skill or some other Leave No Trace specific topic. These topics will be sent to participants prior to attending the course.
As a group we will be advising and critiquing each other in an effort to learn more about how to effectively communicate the skills and ethics of Leave No Trace.
The emphasis is to make this as discussion based as possible with practical methods used in an outdoor classroom and will be done as part of a journey on foot looking at a range of environments that lend themselves to highlighting the seven principles.

Current situation
As you are probably aware the current advice from the Northern Ireland Executive, Health Promotion Agency NI and Health & Safety Executive NI, as well as our expert group within Sport NI is that we cannot deliver any face to face courses for our customers including use of the Hot Rock Climbing Wall.
