↓ Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for staff working in the natural and/or remote environment.
↓ What equipment do I need to bring?
Equipment Check List:
All staff attending the training course with TNOC should ensure they bring the following equipment:
Compass (preferably Silva Type 4)
1:50,000 map of relevant area
Digital watch with stopwatch function
Small personal first aid kit
Waterproof jacket and trousers
Torch with spare batteries (preferably head torch)
Walking boots
Fleece/warm jacket
Warm hat and gloves
Rucksack
However, if anyone does not have any of these items then they can be borrowed from the centre stores.
Any other relevant equipment provided by your employer such as shelter tents, walking poles, gaiters and GPS units etc, should be brought along for use and review.
↓ What does my course fee include?
Fee includes one night accomendation with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Also equipment available to borrow for course use.
Current situation
As you are probably aware the current advice from the Northern Ireland Executive, Health Promotion Agency NI and Health & Safety Executive NI, as well as our expert group within Sport NI is that we cannot deliver any face to face courses for our customers including use of the Hot Rock Climbing Wall.
We know that you and many others like minded folk are very keen to get back on track with your plans to attend and complete a range of personal skills training and qualifications in a range of disciplines.
